Head of Music
Having started this role in January 2009, my main aim is to re-vitalise the curriculum at the school as well as introduce a performance mentality to girls.
My daily roles include:

Teaching KS2 currciulum Year 2-5

Teaching KS3 curriculum Year 6-9

Teaching KS4 GCSE: AQA & Edexcel

Teaching KS5 A'level: Edexcel
In order to achieve this I have introduced several new plans in this current academic year:

Regular informal performances entitled 'coffee corner performances'

An overhaul of the peripatetic service.

More varied opportunities for girls to participate in performances.

An overhaul of the Scholarship and Award applications

Rotary Musician competition

Richard III celebration performance
My plans for the next academic year is to:

Introduce a concert programme of over 50 concerts in the academic year.

Increase our performance opportunities in the community

Consolidate and improve the peripatetic service.

Overall, raise the profile of Music in the school.
Music Teacher and Tutor
My main duties at Brooke Weston was to deliver Music from KS3 to KS5. My teaching include:

Performance: choir, recorders, guitars and bass, ukulele, African Drums, Steel Pans, Samba Drums.

Composition: at KS3, KS4 and KS5. Specicalising in software packages of Sibelius, Garageband, Logic Pro, Audacity.
-
Listening and Appreciation: at KS3, KS4, KS5.
I also helped organised the regular showcases at the school and was the main organiser for 2013's Brooke Weston's Got Talent talent show.
I was also a teacher representative of BW's Parents in Partnership where we organised events to help further opportunities for students.
I have also organised trips to the School Proms, GCSE conferences and tutor trips.
I was also tutor for a Year 7 group up until they were Year 9s. In this time, we won the School Election, organise several charity events including Lupus UK and went to several tutor trips including Wacky Warehouse and Alton Towers.
At Brooke Weston, I gained by Secondary GTP and in my last observation in 2014, I recieved an Outstanding in my Teaching and Learning at KS3 and KS5.
Course Leader & Peripatetic Tutor
My main duties at SVMC was to deliver BTEC Music Performance & Music Technology. Other duties included:

Completion of SARs (Success, Achievement and Retention statistics for SVMC)

Contact with local schools in Leicestershire.

Run schools projects with disinfected children from local area, working closely with organisations such as Connexions and E2E

Teaching 1-2-1 lessons piano & violin
In addition to these duties I also produce the inaugrual performance of Les MIserables in June 2009. Musicals have continued with great success years later.

I am also introducing a new peripatetic system into the school as well as a KS5 group for the very first time.
In line with new OFSTED framework, I am also working on developing a new curriculum Music map for KS3 to KS5.
I am also tutor for a Year 7 group where I work closely with the Year 7 Director of Learning as well line manage a small team of teachers, one who is sessional and one F/T.
